What goes inThe film
The day, told in its own words and music.
AfterRushes understands a wedding day: getting ready, the ceremony, the vows, the speeches, the first dance, the party. It builds the film from that wedding’s moments, voices and music.

Vows over the music
It finds the vows and toasts and lays the best lines over the film, with the music dipping under them.
The band’s own music
The band or DJ recorded on the day becomes the soundtrack when the recording is clean enough, or you choose your own licensed track.
Cuts on the beat
Cuts land on the beat, and each shot skips blurred and shaky seconds.
Slow motion
Footage shot at 50 or 60 frames per second plays as slow motion.
Streaming-ready sound
The sound is levelled to streaming standards.
Captions included
Every film comes with a captions file (.srt) for the spoken lines.
How it’s madeFour steps
How AfterRushes builds the story.
- It watches every second. On your computer, it checks the footage every half second for sharpness, shake and faces, transcribes the speech and finds the music’s beats. Unusable clips are set aside.
- The AI logs the moments. Claude, Anthropic’s AI, reads still frames from each clip, your photos and the transcript, and notes each clip’s best moments. The video itself never leaves your computer.
- The AI writes the story. It plans the film through the day, choosing which moments open it, which lines of the vows and speeches carry it, and how it builds to the first dance.
- It cuts it precisely. The plan becomes an edit on the beat, with the music dipped under the words. Then you review it and make it yours.
Your choiceLength and style
From 3 to 15 minutes, in three styles.
3 minutes
Made to share
Quick to watch and easy to send round, with the pace kept high.
5 minutes
The whole day
Room for an exchange of vows, a line from each speech and a first dance that breathes.
8 to 15 minutes
A keepsake
For days with strong speeches and plenty of usable footage. (The free film goes up to 8 minutes.)
Each length comes in a cinematic style (slower and emotional), a documentary style (more speech and natural sound) or an upbeat style (faster cuts).
How long should a wedding highlight film be?You stay in chargeNo editing skills needed
Change anything by asking.
- Ask in plain English: “make the opening slower”, “use the second song”.
- Accept one-click suggestions.
- Prefer hands-on? Move, trim or delete any shot on the timeline.
- Undo is always there, and only the shots that changed re-render.
On your computerNothing to upload
Your footage stays with you.
All the video work happens on your own computer. Only still frames, photos and transcripts go to the AI. On our test wedding (26 clips, 15 minutes of footage), the local analysis took about 11 minutes on a 2017 Intel i7, including a one-time download, and the AI steps added a few minutes more.

Before you try it.
Can I use my own music?
Yes. AfterRushes uses the band or DJ recorded on the day when the recording is clean enough, or your own licensed track. Music for wedding films explains what to check.
Can I change the film it makes?
Yes. Ask for changes in plain English, such as “make the opening slower” or “use the second song”, accept one-click suggestions, or move, trim and delete shots on the timeline. Undo is always there, and only the shots that changed re-render.
What does it cost?
